Welcome to the Northern Wisconsin State Fair

"It's A Family Affair"

The Northern Wisconsin State Fair (NWSF), presented by Bank Mutual, is pleased to continue its tradition of providing family entertainment and we are excited to announce Bank Mutual as our partner in presenting the 117th edition of the NWSF. Bank Mutual is a perfect fit as a Wisconsin Hometown bank, which has provided sound financial solutions since 1892. “As one of the largest and oldest banking institutions in the state of Wisconsin, we couldn’t think of a better way to support the community than becoming a title sponsor at the NWSF”. “This event reflects our philosophy of backing initiatives that benefit local individuals, families, and businesses” explained Holly Hedrington, Regional Vice President of Bank Mutual”.

The Northern Wisconsin State Fair, presented by Bank Mutual, is pleased to announce the following Main Stage Acts and family attractions for 2014.

Main Stage:

Joe Nichols, sponsored by Northwestern Bank, will perform on Wednesday, July 9th @ 8:00pm. Joe Nichols had an awesome performance to a large crowd despite rainy weather in 2011. We look forward to songs from his recently released album "Crickets" and latest Billboard Hot County Songs Chart #1 hit "Sunny and 75". The ascension of "Sunny and 75" marks the 4 time GRAMMY nominee's Fifth number 1 country radio single.

On Thursday night we are excited to feature Brett Eldredge, sponsored by Gordy's County Market. Brett's hit single "Don't Ya" reached the number one spot on the Country Airplay chart this past year. Brett Eldredge is currently touring with Keith Urban & Little Big Town and gaining popularity each week. Don't miss this opportunity to see a fantastic performance by a new artist gaining steam at the fair in Chippewa Falls.

Loverboy, sponsored by Xcel Energy, will be returning to the Northern Wisconsin State Fair Main Stage on Friday evening. Mike Reno and Loverboy continue to put on amazing performances with hits from the 80's so head to the Fair on Friday night and join the fun.

"Here Come the Mummies" will headline Saturday night with special guests “Tonic Sol-fa”. Eddie Mummy, Java, K.W. Tut, Mummy Cass, Spaz, The Pole, Midnight, Mummy Rah, and The Flu have again "pooled" what remains of their hearts, brains and dusty, withered appendages to make Cryptic, their new collection of songs. "Cryptic is sexy, scary, funny, sweet, low-down, hiked-up and basically awesome, baby," According to Java. This unique experience will keep everyone rocking all night long. Tonic Sol-fa (famed A Cappella group) will start at 6:30 to easy your way into a night of horns, drums and showmanship you will never forget.

Gordy’s Front Porch Stage & Ground Entertainment:

Returning for the third year in a row are the amazing Swifty Swine Racing Pigs trying to catch the Oreo Cookie on Thursday through Sunday. Also returning to the Gordy's Front Porch Stage, is comedy hypnotist Terry DaVolt and T. Texas Terry will provide a comedy Wild West Show to keep fairgoers laughing the full day. Royal White Tigers exhibit will be featured on the grounds for an up close encounter with these beautiful large animals.

Everyone will want to check out the New Poultry/Rabbit barn at the fairgrounds and fairgoers will enjoy the enhanced seating area to relax and enjoy fair foods each day. For the home made wine & beer/ale enthusiasts, try entering your specialty in our new A-16 Natural Science department competitive exhibits. Have your special brew judged to determine the best home brew in our region. Details will be in the 2014 Premium Book - Open Division. On Wednesday night look for the “Dress a Calf contest” presented by the Junior Holstein Breeders of Chippewa County. From the Draft horse show to the Quality Meat Animal Auction the 2014 NWSF has the area’s largest and most diverse display of animals for everyone to enjoy.

North American Midway Entertainment will provide a large array of carnival rides and game attractions while the exhibit halls will be full of the latest products and services for your shopping pleasure. Our RCU School Exhibits building hosts one of largest School Exhibits programs in Wisconsin from school children in Chippewa County. Plan ahead for the fair in July as admission remains the same and the attractions get bigger and better each year. "It's A Family Affair" and it is your Fair at the Northern Wisconsin State Fair.

Don't forget to check out our Fairest of the Fair page as the next Fairest could be someone you recommended.
